Logging in to find your account suspended is unsettling, especially with tokens on it. Most suspensions are fixable, and most aren’t about anything you did on purpose.

Step 1: Find out why

Look in the email inbox linked to the account, including the spam folder. Platforms usually send a message explaining the reason. Sometimes the site itself shows a notice when you log in.

If there’s nothing, contact support and ask. Keep it neutral: “My account was suspended today and I haven’t received an explanation. Could you tell me why and what I can do?”

The common causes

A payment problem. This is the big one. If you disputed a charge with your bank, or the bank reversed a payment as suspected fraud, most platforms suspend the account straight away. Sometimes it’s not even you: a card flagged by the processor can do it.

Age verification. If your state requires an age check and it failed or wasn’t completed, access is usually blocked until it is. See cam site ID verification.

VPN or location mismatch. Using a VPN, especially to appear to be in a state without an age verification law, can trigger an automatic suspension.

A chat rule. Asking performers for contact details outside the site, offering to pay them directly, or being rude, even as a misunderstood joke, can lead to a suspension.

A shared or sold account. Letting someone else use your account, or buying an account from someone, breaks every site’s terms.

Step 2: Fix the cause

If it’s a payment dispute, call the billing company, not your bank. Chaturbate’s billing support answers on (877) 338-7068, for example. If the dispute was a mistake, tell your bank you want to withdraw it and tell the billing company you’ve done so. That’s often enough to restore the account. Our refund and chargeback policies page explains how each platform handles this.

If it’s verification, complete the check from the site’s own page.

If it’s a VPN, turn it off and say so in your appeal.

Step 3: Write one good appeal

Short and polite works. Include:

  • your username and the email on the account
  • what you think happened
  • what you’ve done to fix it
  • a request to review the suspension

Example appeal

Hello, my account (username: ____) was suspended on [date]. I believe it's because my bank reversed a payment I actually made. I've told my bank to withdraw the dispute. Could you please review my account? Thank you.

Send it once. Then wait a few working days before following up. Repeated messages don’t speed things up.

What not to do

Don’t open a new account while the old one is under review. Most platforms treat it as getting around a ban and can make the original suspension permanent.

Don’t pay anyone who contacts you offering to “restore” your account. Platforms never charge to lift a suspension, and messages that say otherwise are scams.

If the ban is permanent

It happens, usually after a chargeback or a serious rule break. Any tokens on the account are generally lost. Learn from it, and if you join another platform, settle billing questions with the billing company rather than your bank.
